The Struggle is Real
We small business owners are used to wearing a lot of hats. In the early stages of our businesses, it’s that “sweat equity” that keeps us solvent and keeps us profitable.
However, there’s a tipping point. As business is acquired, it can be easy to become overwhelmed with the day-to-day tasks that go with servicing clients. Short of working every waking moment of every single day, what can be done?
You can delegate. Easier said than done, right? It’s hard to let go of even the smallest thing when you’ve been handling it for so long. Where to begin?
Start small. Ask yourself, “What task drives me absolutely crazy?” Maybe it’s the bookkeeping. Perhaps it is marketing. Write down your pain points and determine which of those would give you the greatest joy to give up. Maybe it’s as simple as getting a program or cloud-based service that will handle one or more of those tasks, but maybe it’s something more.
Not sure how to approach the problem? Contact us. We’re problem solvers–it’s what we do. We can help you understand if your concerns have a technical or human solution.
What do you have to lose, other than maybe a bit of stress?
